All Hallows Eve

I love Halloween. With pretty much every fiber of my being. My decorated room (or at least, my half of my room) resembles a torture chamber, and my costume for this year contains an excessive amount of fake blood. I'm a closet fan of scary movies, and I enjoy making creepy art to hang on my walls in October.

That being said, I'm not a introverted emo chick who dresses in black and gets her kicks from scaring little kids (not that there's anything wrong with emo chicks...or dressing in black...although I'm not a big fan of terrifying children ;))

So what to do this Halloween? Most definitely I am dressing up, and most definitely I am going trick-or-treating. Childish, I know, but I love it. I'm really glad Halloween is on a Monday this year, simply because it means I can extend the holiday over the weekend. Option number one is an all day Harry Potter marathon, which only distantly relates to Halloween but could totally entertain me for hours. Indeed this could be made even better by the fact that one of my roommates would probably join me, most likely bringing along some only vaguely geeky guys :D.

Currently option one seems to be my only option, as I have no idea what BYU does as far as Halloween parties. Ideally, I would meet a gorgeous guy at my Harry Potter marathon, where he would be so wonderstruck by my extensive knowledge of the backstory of Professor McGonagall that he would immediately ask me on a date. I, of course, would accept with enviable grace, and we would dance the night away dressed as characters from a generic horror movie.

Fluff aside, what are you doing for Halloween? Now that I officially have my first follower--shoutout to Heidi (:--I feel much less stupid in asking a question of my reader(s). What's your favorite part of the holiday? Any sweet traditions? In the meantime, I wish you the best of dreams, filled with images of your own gorgeous geek and a night to remember. In the words of the pragmatic Shakespeare: “Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow.”

As Ever,
Mandi
